10 Top Affiliate Programs [2017]

Well, you’ve learned how to create an affiliate website and added the essential WordPress plugins, and now you’re wondering – how do I find the top affiliate programs in my niche?

Well now the fun begins, finally!

The first thing I should point out is that there are affiliate programs and affiliate networks.

Affiliate programs are offered by individual companies wishing to have their products or services marketed by content publishers (that’s you!), and are often called referral programs.

Affiliate networks are organizations which manage numerous companies’ affiliate programs and offer a directory of said programs for your convenience.

Programs are usually pay-per-sale [PPS] (also sometimes referred to as cost-per-sale or CPS), or cost per action [CPA]. PPS means you’re paid on the basis of sales generated, while CPA means you’re paid based on certain actions by your site visitors such as filling out a form.

Independent affiliate programs (that is, those which aren’t part of a network) in your niche can be found by searching for terms like [your niche] affiliate program or [your niche] referral program. Usually the link to the program can be found in the footer of the website.

Some examples of independent top affiliate programs I like are:

Bluehost, ThirstyAffiliates, SEMrush

An easier way to find affiliate programs, though, is to join an affiliate network and browse the options. So to find the top affiliate programs, I recommend joining the top affiliate networks.

The Top Affiliate Programs & Networks

Clickbank

Clickbank is often at the top of the list of top affiliate programs, and for good reason. They have a huge database of programs and are easily accessible. This is a good place to start.

Some of its top affiliate programs I like are:

Magic Submitter, Affilorama, Long Tail Pro

Note: ClickBank itself does not have a referral program for referring new affiliates. Darn!

ShareASale

ShareASale currently has 4419 programs: 4304 of which are pay-per-sale [PPS], and 300 which are pay-per-lead [PPL], a form of CPA. That’s a pretty good offering and you should be able to find options in your niche.

Some of its top affiliate programs I like are:

MonsterInsights, OptinMonster, iThemes Security Pro

Note: ShareASale itself does have a referral program for referring new affiliates. Sweet!

CJ Affiliate by Conversant (formerly Commission Junction)

CJ Affiliate is an “OG” affiliate network with a good reputation and a number of good programs.

Some of its top affiliate programs I like are:

Media Temple, The Hungry JPEG, 1&1 Internet

Note: CJ itself does not have a referral program for referring new affiliates. Darn!

Rakuten LinkShare

Rakuten LinkShare/LinkSynergy, formerly Buy.com, has a number of reputable affiliate programs. Their database is not as user-friendly to browse as I would like, but it’s still definitely worth it.

Some of its top affiliate programs I like are:

Contentmart, Fiverr, Peachpit

Note: Rakuten itself does not have a referral program for referring new affiliates. Darn!

JVZoo

JVZoo is a very popular top affiliate program option, with tons of offers.

Some of its top affiliate programs I like are:

21 Step Millionaire Coach, Team Site Sales Funnel Formula

Note: JVZoo itself does have a referral program for referring new affiliates. Sweet!

CPAlead

CPAlead, as its name implies, is a CPA-based affiliate network.

Some of its top affiliate programs I like are:

SaySo for Good, Amazon Prime for a Year!, Win 2 Tickets to the NCAA Final Four

Note: CPAlead itself does have a referral program for referring new affiliates. Sweet!

Peerfly

Peerfly is another CPA network, and was chosen as the #1 Affiliate Network by mThink in 2015.

Some of its top affiliate programs I like are:

FPTraffic, 360training, Shutterstock

Note: Peerfly itself does have a referral program for referring new affiliates. Sweet!

GlobalWide Media

GlobalWide Media, formerly Neverblue, is another large affiliate network. I was a publisher for them previously, but recently re-applied as my account had expired. Happens to the best of us!

Clickbooth

I also used Clickbooth previously and recently re-applied for the same reason. Also worth checking out!

FlexOffers

I actually haven’t used FlexOffers before, but I’ve seen plenty of good things about them and recently applied to become a publisher. I’m looking forward to reviewing them more in-depth once I’ve had time to review.

The Best Affiliate Programs & Networks.

Well, that’s my list. There are certainly many more good affiliate networks & programs out there, but this should get you started down the right path.
